Vastly experienced and versatile broadcast journalist. First newsroom job was helping to launch Brazil's first 24hr news network, Globo News as a deputy news editor. My most recent was Senior US Correspondent for Brazil's second-largest TV network, SBT. I have reported, produced, directed, edited and presented, always as part of a team in both national and international desks, working to tight deadlines, to bring the news to millions of viewers.As SBT's US Correspondent I have reported on the last three US elections, 13 UN General Assemblies, two G20 Summits, and have travelled to Cuba, Mexico, Panama, Japan, South Korea, UK, Israel, Palestine and all over the United States to cover major news stories. I am fluent in Portuguese and English and speak good Spanish.I was the first Brazilian journalist to visit Guantanamo Bay detention camp, and won Brazil's most prestigious journalism award, the Herzog Prize, for my series of special reports.
