I started in TV aged 18, working as a trainee technical operator for the BBC. I learned all the technical skills involved in TV production before specialising as a location cameraman in the early 90's. During this period I worked on a huge variety of long-form and short-form factual content, winning many awards for my work. In 2008 I quit the BBC in order to produce and shootmy own films. I researched, produced, directed and shot my first independent 60 minute documentary: The Man Who Stopped the Desert'. This won seven international awards, has been translated to eight languages, and has been screened on national TV and in cinemas world-wide.
