KEY SKILLS
· Highly skilled in crafting compelling, well told and powerfully emotional stories.
· Background in broadcast journalism (including multiple editions of C4 Dispatches, C4 News, BBC's This World, Watchdog, Money Programme and Extreme World for Sky)
· Factual doc and drama doc filmmaker, directing actors on location and in the studio in South Africa, Canada and UK.
· Experienced in securing difficult access & dealing with sensitive subject matter.
· An accomplished scriptwriter with many hours driving single and multiple parallel edits.
· Familiar with compliance and the law and the importance of accuracy, fairness and duty of care.
· Work with crews, but can also self-shoot interviews, b-roll & rostrum on C300/FS7.
· Produced & directed action sequences with drones, gimbals and cranes, and on aerial and underwater shoots.
· International filming experience in Alaska, Egypt, Haiti, India, Kenya, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Uganda & Ukraine.
· HEFAT trained (Centurion 2014) with experience of covert filming.
· UK passport, full UK driving license and a current USA I visa.
· Speak, read and write Russian to a competent level.
· Experienced working to tight deadlines and on fast turnarounds.
