Highly experienced PD/EP with a background in history, science, music and biography programmes, and a talent for writing and directing drama recon. From dramatising the Viking invasion of Britain to shaping complex new series and writing and directing PTCs for experts in their fields, I always bring energy, dedication and a creative eye to my work. I am experienced in remote direting but also love the challenge of a foreign shoot, having filmed in Peru, China, America and across Europe. I enjoy both self shooting (Sony FX6/FX9/FS7/A7s, prime lenses), and directing a crew. 
I've worked with top on screen talent (Dr Xand Van Tulleken, Melvyn Bragg, Dan Snow, Tony Robinson) interviewed rockstars, royalty, and Oxbridge dons, and worked with a chief pathologist to solve unexplained deaths. I can quickly get under the skin of any subject, love the craft work of film-making and am highly skilled at structure and scripting. Two recent films were billed as 'really excellent' by the channel and were sent to other directors as series' templates. I love the creativity of the edit; commissioning CGI (including AI imagery), working with high volumes of archive and navigating broadcaster revisions with ease.
