I am working my way towards becoming an offline editor by doing an unscripted junior editor course with Screenskills alongside my job, and getting involved in the pre edits and promos on the production. On a day to day basis I am media managing, transcoding media ready for the edits and logging, setting up DIT kits for multiple shoots, being the point of call between the production and the post house, pre editing, playouts, exports, syncing media, overseeing the logging and all the separate projects, overseeing LTO backups, organising spreadsheets, helping with post, sound and GFX tenders and giving tech support.
I have previously worked in tech support and as a post production assistant, so feel I have an overview of the whole edit assisting process.
My most recent credits are with “Dynasties II Macaques” and “Dogs in the Wild”, both BBC studio productions.
I am organised, friendly, good at multitasking and balancing workloads, and a very hard worker. I have built a good network of support systems over the years having worked at multiple production and post production companies, which is very helpful when times get hard.
