Hi! I’m Thomas Jones, a writer-director looking to make a career in film or television.I’ve worked on a variety of short films in various capacities – as a runner and camera assistant on professional projects and a writer, producer and director on amateur and student films. I’ve also been heavily involved with student theatre, working with a society as a writer, director, actor, graphic designer, publicist and board member. I graduated from the University of Glasgow this summer with a 2.1 MA Honours degree in English Literature and Film/Television.I’m currently in pre-production for a music video that I’m writing and directing, aiming to shoot at the beginning of September.My current goals are as follows: 1. To improve a network of industry professionals to help secure more work. 2. To develop my knowledge of production in the industry, especially the pre-production and post-production phases of development. 3. To continue developing my skills independently, in the areas of writing and directing as well as with technical skills like editing and visual effects.By the end of this year I aim to have completed a minimum of three independent short projects of whatever type, and to have applied to as many courses as possible that are geared towards helping me create a career within the industry.Thanks!
