I started working in the beauty industry as a Beauty Buyer's Assistant at Harvey Nichols HQ in London, it was here my love and passion for makeup was initially ignited and I decided to train as a professional makeup artist attending the Illamasqua School of Creative Makeup Art in London. I loved every aspect of the course and the experience was life-changing. Initially I concentrated on Bridal and Occasion Makeup, which really enjoyed, but my creative side wanted more. In 2017 I began a year long Level 3 VTCT qualification in Theatrical, Film and Media Makeup and Hair at Cardiff and Vale College, which I absolutely loved, especially the areas in prosthetics, SFX makeup and fantasy hair and makeup. I was awarded Student of the Year for my course which I was so proud to receive. I have since worked as a Crowd Room Makeup and Hair Trainee for The Witches (2020) and for His Dark Materials Series 2. I completed a barbering and hairdressing course and have done work experience with ‘It’s My Shout’ being a makeup and hair trainee for three BBC short films. In March 2015 I became a volunteer for the amazing charity Look Good Feel Better based in the Maggies Centre at Velindre Hospital in Cardiff. Using the power of makeup we provide tri-monthly workshop support for women and girls struggling with the side effects from cancer treatment.
