While at the Times i was exposed to a busy news room, with three main deadlines a day, alongside multiple deadlines for other articles, research, admin and bookings. This alongside my time at the LSBU academy where i was often arranging sessions, assessing candidates, coordinating coaches and activities, and booking venues, has given me a great grounding in admin and coordination. I have also travelled a lot in my personal life , so have a good understanding of the needs of coordinating others for events and productions. I enjoyed the news room environment and pressure massively, actually finding that I worked best when under pressure, needing to produce quality content consistently.I have presented and produced college and school radio, featured on a podcast. As well as experience assisting with the producing of the Hawksbee and Jacobs show at talk sport while on my internship. The assistant producer Rufus Gordon said I had the ‘highest standard of research we’ve ever had’. which is as a result of the i have done research for my own articles and work both professionally and academically. While at Talk Sport I taught myself to use Burli, clipping up shows for the H&J show features, including producing a weekly podcast. I also approached Jim white, and got his number, as well as Luke Moore from the football ramble, and various Talk Sport producers, expanding my footballing network, to gain work opportunities.I have always wanted to be in front of the camera as well as behind it, producing, editing and directing. I want to create amazing videos, scripts and social content; connecting with audience, and providing consistent quality. I'm told i have a commanding presence , and can deliver a charismatic performance when presenting or performing, and truly enjoy being in front of the camera/mic. Talk Sport and my writing career, have allowed me to create cue sheets, for talk sport broadcasters, write scripts for YouTube videos, and allowed me to shadow producers while they create scripts during my time as runner at IMG Studios, and gain a solid grounding of the workflow in production. While at IMG studios I shadowed the media coordinators and loggers at Premier league productions to gain an understanding of the various roles in production and broadcast, as well as many other roles in media such as radio, news and print.
i have had the opportunity to sit in on various shows, and productions with the Premier League, both in pre/post production, on set, in gallery, and in studio. I can use Burli, and Adobe Premier Pro, both of which were self-taught during my time at IMG and at Talk sport, have experience with Wordpress and SEO and I would like to learn Avid. I have assisted on the production of a radio show, and featured on podcasts and school/college radio. Shooting wise I have no professional experience, but some recreational taking photos and image editing, I have a passion for photography, and videography is an area I’d like to expand into and develop.I’m told my best quality is that I am tenacious, If I set my mind to something I will achieve it with enough time and effort, I’m constantly striving to achieve and improve, I’m extremely hard working, and highly ambitious.Contact me on the contact number provided if you'd like to discuss anything.
