James is an experienced Director of Photography and camera operator, specialising in documentaries, corporate content, broadcast, and branded films. His work has appeared on platforms like Amazon, Netflix, BBC, and Sky across the UK, US, and Europe.

He’s worked with brands such as Porsche, The Peninsula Hotels, Ilford Photo, and Royal Northern Sinfonia, collaborating with agencies and production companies to deliver strong, engaging content.

Based in Calder Valley with a production hub in Manchester, James regularly works internationally and is set up for US shoots with an I Media Visa, ATA Carnet, and Global Entry. He owns and operates a Sony Venice cinema camera and is proficient in various camera systems, including Arri Alexa, RED, Canon, and Blackmagic. He is skilled in advanced gimbal operation (Ronin, Movi), drone cinematography, and has expertise in lighting setups for both small and large-scale productions.
