I am a highly experienced Series Producer/Director, who specialises in historical and science documentaries. On a 6-part series, I am very comfortable writing and directing 2 of the films, whilst series producing the rest of the production. I have made many films for National Geographic and Discovery Channel, using high-end CGI and dramatic reconstruction; but I have also worked for UKTV, PBS, Channel 5 and the BBC, where in the past I developed and went on to produce Simon Schama's 'History of Britain'. So I am equally adept at producing high-end landmark documentaries as I am making populist docs for the cable market. I have a great deal of experience in running Canadian co-pros, with a good track record of getting outstanding quality out of such a partnership. I am extremely project-led, and love throwing myself into a subject that I find fascinating - learning new things, both in terms of film-making and subject matter - and am told that this enthusiasm is often transmitted to my teams. I also spent 8 years as a showrunner/SP at WagTV, making history docs, often running 2 shows simultaneously whilst Directing & Edit Producing half of each series I was SP'ing. Read Less
