Tony Carey is currently producing a special from the Justin Bieber: New Years Eve concert shot and broadcast live from the rooftop of the Beverly Hilton hotel during the Covid Pandemic. He also recently produced the You Tube Originals special Justin Bieber: Next Chapter. Both projects are for OBB Media.
Tony jumped into remote production the second week of the pandemic by producing the special "#KidsTogether: The Nickelodeon Town Hall" to teach kids about how to deal with the pandemic. He then quickly followed this up with 4 other specials and two series with Nickelodeon, all remotely and safely produced from home.Prior to the pandemic Tony produced "Meet The Voxels" for Nickelodeon, a motion capture multicam sitcom.
Before that he produced Jeff Ross' Historical Roasts for Netflix and a series of Jojo Siwa Specials for AwesomenessTV airing on Nickelodeon. Post pandemic he will also return to producing and directing the live, one man show Rob Lowe Live that tours around the U.S. and England.Tony has produced comedy series, pilots and specials for many networks and studios, working with talents such as Rob Schneider, Matthew Broderick, Martin Lawrence, Dennis Miller, Kelsey Grammer, Emily Osment, and Ashley Tisdale.Previously as a Production Executive for Brillstein-Grey Entertainment, FX Network and BET, Tony oversaw over one hundred pilots, series and specials, including NewsRadio, The Larry Sanders Show, Politically Incorrect, Just Shoot Me, Mr. Show, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Damages, The Riches, Dirt, and Somebodies. He continues to do budget and production consultation for several companies.Tony volunteer produces for several charities, logging 25 years for the Saban Community Clinic's annual gala and was honored in 2011 with the Lenny Somberg award.When away from the set and stage Tony enjoys snowboarding and skydiving.
