I'm an award winning and enthusiastic Glasgow based Editorial / Edit / Casting / Development Producer. My credits include a broad range of high rating prime time documentaries, fact ent series, and specialist factual one offs, filmed both in the UK and internationally. I have 15 years plus experience.
Recently I've been busy Producing / Edit Producing 'Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby', BBC2, and "Alan Cummings Paradise Homes" for Discovery. I've made more "road trip" series, than most people have had hot dinners, finding quirky characters, impactful sequences, and stunning vistas all over Scotland, and the world.
Previously I've tackled award winning true crime series, 'Stolen: Catching the art thieves' BBC2, and equally lauded, specialist factual one off, 'The Secret Life of Landfill: A Rubbish History', BBC4.
I've run development teams, worked up treatments and taster tapes to tight deadlines and negotiated difficult institutional and individual access which has resulted in several one off and series commissions, as well as development funding for ongoing shortlisted projects.
I have a special interest Fact Ent and Ob’s Doc, and have made a huge range of Factual, Specialist Factual content, I have a diverse knowledge base and a wide range of contacts.
I’ve managed top talent and scripted ratings winners on BBC1, BBC2, BBC4, ITV, C4, C5, History Channel etc.
My track record includes negotiating tricky access/contributors and handling sensitive issues.
My storytelling sensibilities are keen from years shaping narratives and scripting.
I’m extremely organised, adept at devising complex schedules, legal issues and managing staff.
I bring good humour, resilience, and commitment to time, or otherwise pressured projects.
On location I direct crew, conduct off camera interviews and expertly manage relationships.
In the edit I problem solve at speed, and in development I similarly juggle the needs of the pitch.
