Sometimes this has been by necessity, filling gaps that needed filling as a willing team player. Largely, though, I have worked in production-related roles, from driving the development and completion of student short films to shouldering much of the production workload on low-budget feature films.
I am experienced in writing, scheduling, administration, logistics, location scouting, catering, invoicing & cost reporting and assistant directing. In addition, I have worked as editor, camera assistant, screenwriter, grip and other roles which give me a great insight into what the various people on a production need in order to get their jobs done to the best of their ability. This perspective and understanding, as well as my knack for organisation, means I can add value to any production in a variety of roles.
I have worked on independent films, BFI-funded shorts, BBC TV drama and low budget feature films. I also have extensive experience in helping to organise and produce B2B video content.
I am currently working as a copywriter, having fallen on difficult times during the early stages of the pandemic, though I've managed to work on a few short films in the last couple of years. My ambition now is to rebuild and take my film & TV career to the next level, with the ultimate goal of working on high-end television and feature films.
