Her distinctive filmmaking approach is defined by its stark yet poetic visuals, and intensely human characters.
Charlotte began her film career working in programming for the British Film Institute. Since then she has gone on to produce, write and direct several films under her company, Seven Light Films. She recently made the short film Rose in collaboration with the Big C Charity. Rose's world premiere was at the Cheltenham International Film Festival 2023, alongside Loach's film 'The Old Oak'. It was recently screened at BIFA-qualifying festivals CPIFF and Unrestricted View. Her producer/director debut was Different Day, which won Best British Short Film at Cornwall Film Festival, the Jury's Choice Award at The South London Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Film and Best Director at Unrestricted View Film Festival. Her first film, O, My Friend (2019), which she wrote and produced, was nominated for best film at the Wales International Film Festival and screened at festivals around the world. She recently wrapped on the short film, Dear Claudia, starring Eloise Webb and made in association with The Benjamin Foundation.
She currently has several projects in development including a feature film and short films.
