I am a journalist and researcher with specialist knowledge of conflict, global poverty and human rights. I have written on Syria, Libya and the refugee crisis in Europe, reporting for the Guardian, TIME Magazine, the BBC’s From Our Own Correspondent, IRIN News, Index on Censorship magazine, among others. Most recently I reported on women's rights in Tunisia with funding from the Fuller Project for International Reporting. I have two years experience at the BBC and have worked in journalism, development and conflict resolution in Lebanon, Tunisia, Cambodia, Belgium, Latin America and the UK.I hold an MSc in international development and a BA in social anthropology, both from the London School of Economics, as well as an NCTJ diploma in journalism.I am a discerning multimedia journalist with contacts in the world's worst conflict zones.
