I am an experienced TV producer/director (previously researcher and drama second AD). I have worked for many ITV companies as a researcher, and BBC2, Channel Four and various corporate jobs as a Producer/director. My specialities are arts programmes, music, and health and social issues. I have a great deal of experience of research, organising shoots and scheduling and budgeting. I can self shoot and edit. For the last few years I have been living in the Yorkshire Dales and making films as an artist, after a road accident caused me health problems, and then while caring for a mother with dementia. I am now free to return to TV work especially in Yorkshire. In 2000 I was commissioned to make a film installation about Cumbrian/Chinese artist Li Yuan-chia by Manchester Art Gallery. This involved extensive research into his film archive. I am currently moving into environmental work, making a poetic documentary about 96 year old botanist Margaret Bradshaw, who works to preserve the rare alpine flora in Upper Teesdale. Read Less
