I've worked with Daniel for five years on the Antiques Roadshow and seen him grow into his final role - and create new ones on the way. He has had deceptively simple but brilliant ideas that have made a real difference to the show and significantly improved it. He is a great team player, extremely hardworking and a real asset. I've very much enjoyed working with him.
Daniel Hardy Hall is an accomplished AP with a flair for directing – and a confident, easy way with talent and contributors.
He has extensive experience of setting up and filming large events and managing a big team but is also skilled at working with a small crew to film everything from interviews and sequences to GVs and drone shoots.
He’s well versed in the latest social media trends and systems, using them to enhance big TV brands, and is a diligent researcher with a good eye for a story.
Versatile, industrious and friendly, he would be an asset to any production.
Daniel proved himself to be an incredibly valuable addition to the production team over the two and a half years I spent working with him on Antiques Roadshow. He joined us as a runner and quickly demonstrated that not only was he a hard and good worker, but he brought valuable ideas that strongly helped our efforts to reach out to audiences in innovative ways. Indeed, his "Share Your Story" initiative has undoubtedly brought valuable new content and connected the programme more strongly with younger audiences participating in the recording of the shows. He's very well organised, (often taking on complex planning for large scale public events,) has great confidence, shows a good intuition for a story, and is popular with all who work with him. It's no surprise he has progressed so swiftly. I think he has a bright future and I would thoroughly recommend him.
Daniel is a great team player and someone who has risen quickly from runner to researcher and then to AP/Director. I first worked with him at Keo West at River Cottage for C4 and I have just finished a series of the Antiques Roadshow with him for BBC 1. Reliable and hard working with great ideas and imagination.
