Jay Cox is a British filmmaker, sound designer, and former music producer, known for his emotionally-driven visual storytelling and distinctive sonic craft.

Originally from Portsmouth, England, Jay began his creative career in the early 2000s, co-founding Toolbox Records in 2001 and gaining recognition as a producer with releases supported by BBC Radio 1 and top DJs of the era. He was signed to Hed Kandi/Ministry of Sound and remixed artists including Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

After surviving testicular cancer, Jay shifted his creative focus to filmmaking. In 2014, he founded Fizzeek Media, a production company based in the New Forest. His breakthrough project, The Ultimate Triathlon—which he directed, shot, and produced single-handedly—won multiple awards and marked a defining moment in his career.

Jay has worked with major clients including Netflix, Amazon Studios, and the BBC, and co-founded The Modern Edit with Katie Cox. The platform is known for its cinematic short-form documentaries that spotlight artists, makers, and communities.
