I undertake every job I do with passion and enthusiasm. I love working in TV and throughout my 8+ years of working in this industry I have been enjoying learning new skills and acquiring a deeper understanding of program making through my evolving roles and responsibilities. As I now move from being an experienced AP into becoming a producer I am looking for roles and opportunities which will enable to me to continue to learn and enhance my skills and experience further. My skills and experiences include; Casting (interviewing, recording casting tapes, writing biogs, background checking, shortlisting, pitching) - targeted casting and contributor finding - following processes in studio and on location - fact checking during the edit - writing documents (both detailed and simplified) in preparation for filming - interviewing and vox popping - managing a small team - working closely with contributors – working closely with press and social media teams during transmission - finding locations and securing filming permits - assisting on location - producing on location and in studio -Recently, my work has been mainly food focused and I’m really enjoying developing my own knowledge within that specialism. In the future I would love to balance food producer jobs with producing jobs in different genres within the factual and factual entertainment TV bracket. As well as this, I have a real interest in contributor welfare and would love to be able to specialise in this in the future. My biggest strength is building and maintaining trustworthy relationships with the people I am working with, which includes both contributors and the production team. I am also highly organised and proactive, with a good eye for detail. I have repeatedly proven myself to have a strong instinct for finding and following story lines and storytelling generally.I’m also skilled in researching, processing and analysing information (particularly recipes or scientific information), then presenting it in a way that is easy to understand in order easily identify and follow the processes as they happen.
