I'm extremely curious about the world and bring that enthusiasm to each film. Whatever the subject I try to find the humanity; searching out emotion, warmth and humour in the most unlikely places. 

I’ve made films on all sorts of subjects: from how and why the universe came to be…. to what drives women to cut off men’s penises. To each I've brought originality, visual ingenuity and also thoughtfulness. 

I have been three times nominated for a BAFTA (twice for BAFTA ‘Best Director: Factual); have twice been nominated for the Griersons, (‘Best Science documentary’) and I have won the Wildscreen Award (Golden Panda) and I have...

* produced & directed over 30 hours of prime time documentary for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Netflix and Nat Geo.

* filmed in locations all over the world, with all sorts of people, from high-end talent, actors, academics to wonderful real-life characters.
