His critically acclaimed feature Lie of the Land won "Best Irish First Feature" at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2023. John is also the director of several notable horror and sci-fi short films, including Exposure and 6 Feet Under, as well as the award-winning The Way Back and ECHOES. The Way Back earned "Best Film" honours at the Golden Blasters Sci-Fi Festival in 2016 and was featured on Sky Television's Short Film Show.
Meanwhile, ECHOES garnered four international awards, including Best Director and Best Film at the Dublin Sci-Fi Film Festival. YOU, I Know, a hard hitting drama released in 2023, was selected for a total of 22 festivals worldwide and won "Best Drama" in the 2024 Rome international Movie Awards.
