Read More.I joined the Royal Air Force at age 16 and served as an aircraft Engineer. I served for 20 years, working on a variety of fixed and rotary winged aircraft. After my Service, I worked for BAe Systems for a short while, before moving on to KLM(UK) engineering, where I serviced and upgraded civilian aircraft including the BAe146/Avro RJ85. I have always been creative, but never really had the chance to develop many skills in this area. So after hearing about a University degree course which covered model making and special effects, I decided to return to higher education. I decided on the Special Effects pathway, as I felt that this would most utilise my engineering background. However, after gaining some work experience on King Arthur: Legend of the sword in the armoury, my name was passed on to other model making department heads. Model making for the big screen has now become my main source of income (a job which I really enjoy).
