In my previous position at AB Hotels, I covered a wide spectrum of marketing aspects. As a Marketing Administrator within a two-person department, I was able to develop my skills in everything from social media and website management to collateral design and PR. A large proportion of my responsibilities were carried out single handedly due to the size of the department and for a three-month period I took on the role of Acting Group Marketing Manager. This is the time at AB Hotels where I feel my skills were tested and ultimately developed the most. Coordinating every incoming request and working closely with the director of the company was an unexpected, yet incredibly valuable, experience.During my time at AB Hotels, I have gained a host of new skills while strengthening those I already possessed. In terms of self-organisation, this was particularly key to completing my tasks. With so many projects simultaneously in motion (such as PR visits and artwork requests) every stage of production had to be closely monitored by liaising with account managers and multiple departments of the hotel. Working with colleagues and external agencies was another ability enhanced by the constant communication across the company and partnering firms. Every day I exchanged vital information about numerous projects while building relationships needed for an efficient workflow. Additionally, giving feedback to senior management and the general manager is something that has greatly developed my interpersonal skills.One of the major attractions to marketing for me was the opportunity for creativity, which is something that has always sparked my interest. In any form, I find it rewarding to step back and admire something you have spent a great deal of time crafting. This seemingly inherent need to create has shaped my career goals ever since I was a child, and will always be a skill for which I have a great deal of passion.Overall, I am willing to carry out what is required in a prompt and efficient fashion. There is no doubt in my mind that I will prove to be an asset to you organization in the future. I am also highly flexible in terms of working hours and tasks. Thank you for your consideration.
