I am a journalist and producer of news & documentaries in the US, the UK, Africa and The Middle East with a focus on conflict, displacement and politics. I have reported for BBC World, Reuters, Al Jazeera, RAI TV and others. During the US Presidential Election, I produced daily reports focusing on racial justice, systemic racism and minorities. I reported in New York around the 20th anniversary of 911 on the Afghan-American community and unaccompanied Afghan minors in the U.S. following the fall of Kabul. Previously, I was a researcher on six-part documentary series Working Lives: Human Traffic about global human trafficking for BBC World filmed in India, Kenya, Egypt, the US and the UK. Following that, I produced a series of news features from around Africa for Reuters' news video service Africa Journal, while based in Nairobi and sociopolitical documentaries for the Faces Of Africa series on China Central TV. My interest in refugees, political oppression and minority groups is rooted my family history of displacement from Uganda.
