Kirsty Shelts is a British broadcast journalist, reporter and TV presenter. She has worked in a variety of sports including football, rugby, swimming, rowing and athletics. Kirsty is a former national swimmer and biathlete, graduating with First Class Honours in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Staffordshire back in 2014.    Kirsty’s career commenced at the young age of just 16 years old when she was scouted by a BBC Radio 5 Live producer during her time as a national swimmer. She then went on to report for the BBC in 2010 covering the British Swimming Championships, the 2012 Paralympic Games and then the Rugby World Cup in 2015. Whilst doing so, Kirsty also worked with leading sports brands including Speedo and MyProtein.    Through Kirsty’s own sporting accomplishments and her experience working with the BBC from a young age, she was inspired to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. During her studies at the University of Staffordshire, her passion and enthusiasm for sport shined through. This was evident when she was selected for a work placement with Sky Sports News at the end of her second year.    Since graduating, Kirsty has gained invaluable experience working for BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video, BBC, Sky Sports, Manchester United TV and internationally working as a presenter in New Zealand for Sky NZ. Whilst doing so, Kirsty has worked alongside many of the industries leading talents including Kirsty Gallagher, Jim White, Mark Pougatch, Ugo Monye, Lawrence Dallaglio and Clare Balding.   Being described as ‘Manchester United’s best signing of the season off the pitch’, Kirsty is currently reporting and presenting for Manchester United’s MUTV, covering the post match interviews, interviewing both fans and A-list celebrities who attend the matches. Alongside this, Kirsty is extremely passionate about driving and promoting women in sport. Initially driven by her work with Clare Balding on the BT Sport Action Woman Awards, Kirsty now also presents for The Women’s Rugby Show, which is one of the first YouTube channels to solely focus and report on the women’s game.     Kirsty also extends her skills as a broadcaster beyond the world of sport. By working as a voice over artist for children's TV promos such as Disney and Nickelodeon, Kirsty showcases that she is an all-round talent both on and off the screen.     Kirsty is extremely ambitious and hungry to succeed, which is evident through her entrepreneurship as the founder of her own global fashion brand, Amour.
