I am highly experienced in managing a team and budgets, and enjoy overseeing a production through from inception to delivery. I pride myself on being both creative and practical, unflappable and able to think on my feet. I'm used to quick turnaround, short form VTs and longer form. I have many years as a PD under my belt, both as a self-shooter and directing crews, and as an edit producer.
I'm used to working with both established high profile and emerging talent. I'm highly skilled at gaining access to organisations, building relationships and maintaining them over time, with experience of working with hospitals, A&E departments, ambulance services, big business, universities, schools... as well as working with everyday people to gain their confidence and permission to film their personal stories.
My broad spectrum of experience, gives me an all-round knowledge of what it takes to create and tell an engaging story. The programmes I have worked on have involved everything from big science experiments and animations, to working in extreme locations, with highly sensitive subject matters and complex compliance issues. I am versatile, calm under pressure, and I bring bags of experience and passion to every job I take. I have just finished working as the Exec Producer of the BAFTA award winning show and brand Operation Ouch! This role encompassed overseeing the main series, the spin off series Do Try This At Home, a magazine, podcasts, digital and social content, merchandise development and an immersive exhibition at The Science and Industry Museum in Manchester.
I'm keen to explore new opportunities and would love to hear from you.
