Matteo Lonardi is a journalist and self shooting documentary director. He has worked in both development, production and directing roles, negotiating access and working with contributors in locations such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and multiple states across the U.S. Since 2014 Matteo has been experimenting with VR and has directed two episodes of a documentary series looking at contemporary political issues through the studios of artists in countries around the world, the first episode Reframe Iran won best film at The World Vr forum in Crans, Montana.Matteo completed his masters at Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, where he had a dual focus on documentary production and Journalism. He also won the prestigious Magic Grant from The Brown Institute for Media Innovation to develop an innovative Virtual Reality documentary series.Matteo is confident shooting with Sony FS7, A7S, Canon C300 and a range of audio equipment.
