I relish in finding stories in hard places. I have excellent people skills and pride myself on drawing out the best in contributors, having often been thrown in at the deep end in dealing with sensitive contribs in highly charged environments. I have interviewed and filmed with people on terror watch lists as well as those working in the highest levels of government. I have wrote drama scripts for high profile drama-doc reconstructions, working hard to find the right elements to focus on; which tell the story in the most passionate and economical way, often working under numerous time and budgetary constraints. When scripting VO I always make sure to bring a fresh, unique voice which embellishes the on screen visual, injecting excitement and intrigue, even when working on fact heavy current affairs output. As a shooter I have worked with a wide variety of cameras and specialist equipment and am able to quickly identify what pieces of kit are required to bring the right aesthetic to a programs format. I work hard before shoots to come up with inventive lighting and camera work to deliver a, where required, highly polished, stylised look. I believe I have a keen eye for edits and can confidently craft stories that can deliver a lot of emotion whilst also conveying vital story information. I am used to working directly under execs and commissioners adapting my vision for a program to cohesively gel with theirs.
