PERSONAL PROFILE I am a Series Producer /Director who has worked on award winning documentaries, specialising in securing and maintaining access in sensitive situations. I have filmed with people at some of the most difficult and life changing moment’s they will ever face. I have been responsible for securing and maintaining access with large organisations meeting with boards of directors regularly and being the lynch pin between the production and the organisations. I am often called in to help in situations where access has become difficult on the ground and to rebuild relationships to allow filming to continue.I started my Television life working in live television, moving into specialist factual programmes where I honed my research and storytelling skills, before crossing into documentaries. I feel that this mix of having worked on both popular factual programming and documentary means that I am able to apply a lot of documentary actuality sensibilities to a more populist formula often leading to a more emotional response by presenters and contributors.I am an accomplished director who is as at home directing crews, and working with presenters as self-shooting. I know how to create a visual style and what is needed to achieve it. Having both shot and directed on series such as the Broadcast award winning Old Peoples Home for 4yr Old’s (Channel 4), Hunted (Channel 4) and Call The Cleaners (ITV). As well as one off documentaries like Comic Relief Convoy (BBC1).I pride myself on identifying engaging, interesting characters and being able to work out how to develop people’s stories, as well as, importantly knowing how to strip back what is interesting in terms of the overall narrative. I am highly organised, solution orientated and enjoy problem solving. In the edit I am able to make decisions, identify problems and find solutions with confidence, quickly and effectively.I am very passionate about what I do and always put my heart and soul into it. My relationships with my contributors and presenters and the rest of the team are extremely important to me.
