I'm interested in everything; science, history, politics, books, culture, travel but most of all people. I'm never short of new ideas and find inspiration all around. I‘m a mature candidate with lots of life experience and I love finding fascinating contributors and working out how best to tell their story. I'm particularly strong when casting, communicating and creating trust with contributors, and have worked with many that were vulnerable or in difficult circumstances - I have cast families who were battling for custody in the family courts and desperately ill individuals who were waiting on the UK transplant list for a new heart. I have broadcast credits as a Researcher and Coordinator but have been working as an AP for several years, making various educational programmes for the legal sector. During this time, I worked daily with academics and presenters, researching, script writing, editing. I also interviewed upwards of 150 contributors including; barristers, judges, top corporate lawyers and various other subject matter experts. I can shoot and edit for taster tapes, casting tapes, GVs and second camera for Obs Docs. I have worked as a researcher on programmes that required complex access including; the first programme ever to be granted access to film adversarial families as they battled it out through the Family Courts; the Amsterdam Vice Squad; and access via Papworth Hospital to the UK Heart Transplant patients list. I have experience of development before such a heavy reliance on the internet exclusively and am never happier than when phone bashing or meeting potential contributors in real life. Most recently, I have negotiated access with the U.K.s largest hospice and am developing several ideas with them in mind. For the past year I have been studying for an MA in Documentary & Factual Production at U.W.E., affiliated with the BBC in Bristol..
