I am an experienced shooting producer-director across a wide range of genres, and was previously an editor at Granada TV for three years. I know what to shoot for an edit. My background is in factual entertainment and observational documentaries and I've made programmes for the BBC, ITV, Channel 5, Sky and RTÉ (Ireland's public broadcaster). I am as comfortable shooting solo as well as within a team. I have a lot of experience in blue light ob docs, however I do LOVE TO WORK ON ALL DIFFERENT KINDS OF PROGRAMMES - I am extremely good at capturing actuality on-the-fly, often in challenging situation so that is why I get continuous work in this genre. My strengths would be: working well with contributors, interviewing, dealing with sensitive subjects and knowing what is needed in the field to make an edit work. I've filmed with institutions such as the police, customs, animal protection charities, port security and within hospitals. I have directed talent, both new and seasoned. I am used to directing crew. I have taken programmes into edit. I have a Chemistry degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism and Masters in Documentary Direction. What's more important is that I know what I need to deliver to make an excellent, entertaining programme. I love what I do. I am happy to relocate for work.
