I am currently in post-production on a twenty-minute drama ‘The Building’. Set in the near future the film stars Mo Sesay (star of feature films Youngs Souls Rebels and Bhaji on the Beach) as the CEO of a company who becomes emotionally dependent on the artificial intelligence that runs his office. I am also currently in development with commissioning editor Jo McClellan at BBC to turn my award-winning short drama A Viable Candidate into a six part series for BBC1. The writer and star of A Viable Candidate is Steve Toussaint (who stars as Corlys Velaryon in HBO Game of Thrones prequal House of The Dragon) and the producer is Stella Nwimo (producer of Top Boy, Gangs of London, and Lenny Henry’s drama series Three Little Birds). The plot of this thriller revolves around the emergence of a radical politician and the reaction of the intelligence services. Other recent factual credits include the forty-minute documentary ‘Decolonising the Curatorial Process‘, which looks at progressive curatorial work being done in museums and Everyday Borders’, a one-hour documentary exploring the impact of the 'hostile environment' immigration legislation on the UK’s migrant communities. I’m a graduate of the Northern Media School and The National Film and Television School where I specialised in directing fiction film.
