We were nominated again in 2006 for the Mental Health in the Media Awards. Even though we didn't win for our Bulimia story line the judges said we showed an exceptional and true portrayal of a young person suffering from an eating disorder.

In 2006 Silver Street won in the 'broadcast soap' category at the Race in the Media Awards

2006 (RIMA), seeing off two TV soaps - Coronation Street and EastEnders. Our entry highlighted ways in which the soap is topical and relevant to its audience, for example real life events like the Pakistan Earthquake, The Tsunami, 7/7 bombings, and how they affected the lives of the characters in the soap.

Silver Street was an award winning radio soap and won at the Clarion Awards 2007. The Clarion Awards recognise excellence in the communication of Social Inclusion, CSR, Sustainable Development and Ethical Debate.
