BAFTA-winning Series Director and Producer specialising in premium factual, history, arts, biography and powerful human stories. I’m known for shaping ambitious, visually distinctive films and leading creative teams from development through to final cut. Extensive experience directing top talent, shaping immersive archive films and guiding complex animation and GFX.

My latest film, Turner: The Secret Sketchbooks (BBC Arena), premiered on BBC Two on 19 November and is now on iPlayer.

Recent work includes Jane Austen: Rise of a Genius (BBC Two, ★★★★★) and Dictator: The Hitler Interviews (C4), an immersive archive series now distributed internationally ahead of its UK TX in 2026.

I created and directed Long Lost Family: Born Without Trace (ITV), winner of the BAFTA, Rose d’Or and TV Choice Awards, and I’ve directed landmark editions of Who Do You Think You Are?, including the Daniel Radcliffe and Charles Dance films.

My work spans prime-time series, international history projects and intimate contributor-led documentaries.

I’ve collaborated with leading cultural figures including Timothy Spall, Chris Packham, Davina McCall, Lucy Worsley, Tracey Emin, Jeremy Deller, Sir John Akomfrah, David Dimbleby, David Tennant, Emma Willis and Dan Snow.
