Simon Rawles is a Grierson-winning Producer-Director and cinematographer. He makes distinctive, impactful and beautifully crafted films.

His latest feature doc won Best Science and Natural History film in the Grierson’s 2025. Britain’s Nuclear Bomb Scandal received Critics Choice across the press. The Times called it ‘a powerful call to arms’. The film also received a nomination in the Banff awards for best history doc.  

Simon’s BBC documentary series Fight For First, about a British e-sports team, was nominated for Best Series in the Broadcast Sports Awards 2022.

 In current affairs, Simon has been nominated for the Rory Peck Awards for a film about the treatment of mentally ill people, and he won a DIG International Journalist award for a documentary about a far right youth party.
