Science and Natural History Researcher and AP based in Bristol, with experience across both Development and Production. Currently wrapping up my researcher and camera operating role on a children's television series about plants for the BBC. Previously, I've worked as a wildlife researcher on Autumnwatch and Winterwatch (BBC), working on location in Scotland, and the Volcano episode of the Emmy-nominated series Earthstorm (Netflix), setting up complex international shoots. Before natural history, I worked on various CGI and archive-led history series for Nat Geo/Disney+; a fast turnaround consumer series for ITV1 and National Geographic Channel's maritime archaeology series, Drain The Oceans (Series 2 and 3).

Prior to television, I completed an MSc by Research in the University of Bristol's Glaciology Centre, where I examined the DNA of microbes living beneath glaciers to understand how life survives beneath ice-sheets and their role in the Earth's major biogeochemical cycles. I possess a strong understanding of contemporary natural history and hold a First Class degree in Physical Geography from the University of Bristol, specialising in climate change science, glaciology and ocean biogeochemistry. I'm passionate about natural history and was a member of the panel assessing submissions for Wildscreen film festival's 2020 Official Selection. I love utilising my editorial and creative judgment in both factual and fictional contexts, having developed an instinct for story as a script reader, with experience including assessing applications for iFeatures (Creative England) and making script notes for the Script Editor on episodes of the BBC's His Dark Materials series.
