I've Series Edit Produced (Hometown: Another Killing); cut first episodes (Secrets of Egypt's Valley of the Kings); managed multiple edits (Secret Life of the Zoo) and brought fresh eyes to ongoing projects.
I have experience editing series with hundreds of hours of footage and always find the golden moments to build a programme that will meet a broadcaster's ambitions. A number of my projects have been filmed and edited simultaneously (Accused / Oligarchs) and I'm able to effectively collaborate with PDs to shape an unfolding narrative.
I have worked on numerous projects with complex legal issues and sensitive contributors and have presented both a Q and A on Legal Pitfalls in True Crime and a module on True Crime for Edit Producers.
I have experience commissioning VFX and GFX and understand how to effectively brief creatives.
Prior to working as an Edit Producer, I was an SP and P/D and spent 9 months covering maternity leave as a Deputy Commissioning Editor at C4. This breadth of experience means I understand how to communicate with the production team in the field and with Execs and Commissioning Editors in a viewing.
After studying International Relations with an M.Phil focused on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, I began my career in News and Current affairs on C4's Weekly Planet, presented by Jon Snow. I am still passionately interested in world events and bring a forensic journalistic rigour to my work.
