I live and breathe film and television.

My passion stemmed from a childhood of watching big name reality and game shows like The Mole and Fort Boyard as well as classic kitchen sink dramas, and I made a reputation for myself by making my friends participate in my own made-up game shows. So to have grown up into a career that's all about making TV, I really am living the dream.

I throw myself into every and any production I am privileged to work on, giving blood, sweat and tears to every shoot day, every idea pitched and every edit note. My broad range of credits across multiple genres and broadcasters from blue light ob docs to documentaries to presenter led factual entertainment. I've worked in every editorial role from runner to researcher, AP and DV Director before becoming the Self-Shooting PD I am today. 

I'm told I'm a credit to any production to who will have me (and not just a rolling credit at the end of the show!). With my visual flair learned from structured reality adding gloss and an upper level of beauty to scenes. My resilience learned from years of setting up shoots, seeing them fall down and moving on to something better. My editorial confidence learned from finding story problems and solving them on location under time and money pressure. And my teamworking verve, learned from the best producers and directors in Scotland and going on to lead my own multi-camera shooting teams. 

Blessed with the ability to make friends in an empty room, I've always managed to get the best out of any given TV making quandry by building fast, effective relationships. Whether that's with a nervous crew on their first location shoot, a contributor suffering the worst day of their life or a presenter known for refusing to work at the drop of a hat. In a time when deadlines are ever nearer, budgets are ever tighter and the general public are all the more camera-savvy, I manage to work the magic and align the stars that make for the best TV Britain has to offer.
