I'm a self shooting Assistant Producer and Field Director specialising in blue-chip natural history. Over seven years at Silverback Films I've directed and filmed for the BBC, Disney Nature, Netflix, National Geographic and Apple, from the high Arctic to equatorial rainforest. My job, as I see it, is to close the gap between people and the natural world. Not by lecturing, but by telling stories that make you care. 

My background is in biology, and my technical foundation covers long-lens cinematography, drone aerials (GVC and A2 CofC) and camera systems including RED, ARRI and Sony, plus camera traps, IR and cable cams. All kit that I've used in the field. 10 weeks camping on Ellesmere Island, sea ice at -30°C on the Belcher islands, canopy work in Bhutan and Costa Rica, long lens and drone in Gabon, remote cameras in Arizona and gimbals in Argentina. 

I've led large scale remote expedition shoots end to end. From permits, multiple 6 figure budgets and safety, through to directing multi-camera teams and edit producing the results. Recent work includes character-driven sequences for a Disney Nature feature and a 20-minute Apple Vision Pro immersive film accepted to the Venice Film Festival.
