I have a background to doctoral level in historical research (Cold War) and am also qualified in TV and film production. I am currently living in the North West and seeking work as a freelancer or with a public/commercial/independent media production company in the following positions: scriptwriting, research for film/documentary, booker, administration, events management or similar. I also speak French fluently. My documentary on The Rise of Civic Society in Ireland and my short film on Bartering (history and current usage) were both shown at the Creative Hive event at The Media School, Salford Quays in May 2012. I am a car owner, have a clean driving licence and am ready and willing to relocate elsewhere for work purposes. I am also a UK resident and fully registered with HMRC to work in this country. Although the industry is a youthful one, as a young-at-heart half- century old person, I believe my life skills and experience mean that I have something positive and of wider value to bring to the table in terms of cultural knowledge and teamwork.
