Within this position I learned to rig broadcast ready box-lens cameras for the Sky Sports Cricket season. Alongside working across the OB compound and cricket grounds, I distributed paperwork, organised crew and talent lunches, and answered radio callouts.
After the cricket season I moved into a Graduate Camera Assistant position with Timeline Television where I furthered my skills within camera rigging, and learnt how to work from planning sheets to prepare kit loads at base. On top of this, I acted as Camera Guarantee on a series of episodes of BBC Teach's Live Lessons, and honed my skills in Camera Operating. My credits within operating include The Women's FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium for BBC, Men's National League Football for BT Sport, and travelling internationally to operate both studio and track cameras on Racing TV's coverage of the Dubai World Cup Carnival.
After taking on a whole host of work experience and runner opportunities on a variety of genres and beginning my post-uni career in outside broadcasts with CTV, I am continuing to work within a technical capacity as a Production Specialist at ITV News Anglia. Within this multi-skilled role I direct live and recorded bulletins for our late news and input into Good Morning Britain; gallery PA our main 6 o'clock programmes; operate studio and robotic cameras; operate autocue; and manage incoming and outgoing media within traffic.
