I'm an experienced, confident and collaborative content maker with a wealth of experience producing, directing and edit producing on both returning and newly commissioned popular and specialist factual projects for a range of audiences and broadcasters including National Geographic, Channel 4, Channel 5, BBC One, Two, Three and Four.

I'm an alumna of the BBC, Channel 4 and S4C funded 'Factual Fast Track' series producer programme - developing the newest generation of TV showrunners in Wales and the West - and the Edinburgh International TV Festival’s ‘Ones To Watch’ career development scheme, aimed at the brightest and best TV talent.

While my passion lies in history and arts subjects, I have a proven track record across multiple genres from fact-ent to documentary crafting compelling, intelligent and entertaining programmes with insight and emotion at their heart, from commission to delivery.

I’m adept at drawing the best out of people both on and off-screen whether directing high-profile presenters, brand-new talent or multi-camera crews and DOPs.

Rigorous editorially, from script to edit I can be relied upon to deliver, piercing through complex subject material to bring thoughtful, engaging narratives to life.

KEY SKILLS - SINGLE AND MULTI-CAMERA DIRECTING: directing crews/DOPS on location in situations covering everything from living history, sensitive access/compliance issues, dance performances, 'as live' events, weaponry, boats, aircraft and drones. Working with animals/handlers, children/people with additional needs, and actors for drama reconstruction. Directing sensitive and emotional master interviews.

HIGH-PROFILE TALENT: producing and directing on-screen talent from seasoned presenters to brand-new faces, from Amy Dowden to Arthur Williams, Sara Cox to Anita Rani, as well as experts, academics, specialists, contributors and the general public

EDIT-PRODUCING: crafting compelling stories in the edit, combining multi-camera shoots, presenter led actuality, lengthy master interviews, specialist CGI/GFX and archive. Experience working across multiple edits simultaneously, delivering to tight deadlines, and across all aspects of post inc. grade/online/voice over record/dub and final mix

SCRIPTING: across a variety of subject matter and for a range of channels and audiences, from VTs to returning formats, original 60-minute docs, living history and brand-new series

CASTING: from amazing contributors to famous celebrities, experts/academics to members of the public and actors for historical reconstruction

ARCHIVE & LOCATION SOURCING: working with specialist archive footage and securing a wide variety of locations - anything you can think of, from stately homes and castles to military bases, working farms and even abattoirs.
