I am a Chinese - Irish documentary filmmaker based in London, I’m enthusiastic, hard-working, detail oriented and ready to dive into each project. Passionate about filmmaking, I am inspired by art, science, music, and culture. I love building relationships with contributors, connecting with people, sharing their stories and experiences. For me, documentary filmmaking is a creative way in which we can observe, interact with, and reflect on our world. I aspire to direct films from a different perspective and hope to engage viewers on an emotional level. I’m a strong self-shooter and have an artistic visual flair as well as in-depth technical knowledge. I can efficiently set up and light sit-down interviews, I have an instinct for observational shooting situations. I am adept at working with presenters and can empathetically deal with contributors and situations involving sensitive issues. I am passionate about narrative and have the ability for storytelling in the edit, working collaboratively with editors. I am skilled at setting up remote filming, research, fact checking, archive sourcing and clearance. I can efficiently produce social media content.
