Read MoreI’m an experienced BAFTA Scotland, RTS and Banff Rocky award-winning executive producer and creative, who has created and delivered returnable television and on-line content for the BBC, C4, C5, Discovery and Sky Arts. My television career covers a variety of high-profile projects, and I have had the privilege of working at some of the highest profile and prestigious television production companies in the UK.
I’ve personally created two of the longest running formats on British television (Location Location Location on Channel 4 and the Antiques Road Trip franchise on the BBC) and have worked across a wide range of non-scripted shows, from quizzes to interview shows and award-winning documentaries. More recently, I started a non-scripted company with the director Paul McGuigan and am currently on a two year investment programme called the Feature Film Fast Track which is designed to develop and producer international feature films from Scotland.
I have managed and inspired a number of different sized teams in my career, and pride myself in my ability to get freelancers and staff alike to work together for the benefit of the show and themselves.
In addition to my hands on production and development experience, I am a format consultant having lectured at the University of Westminster, Glasgow University and the University of the West of Scotland as well various field trips to China to speak to the Shanghai Media Group and Jiangsu TV.
I have a broad understanding of the commissioning, financial and legal landscape of the British entertainment industry today and have excellent contacts throughout the business.
I’m extremely interested in format and development, but increasingly excited by scripted problem solving and audio drama.
