I’m a highly organised, driven and versatile creative producer, director and edit producer with over a decade of experience working in the documentary and factual entertainment sector. Throughout my career, I have brought award-winning complex productions - ranging from short-form content to broadcast and feature-length documentaries - seamlessly from development, through to production, delivery and press.

My work has taken me from the cutting rooms of London's renowned Savile Row to behind-the-scenes at the world's leading galleries. It's involved gaining access to a working fertility clinic, capturing a foundling's epic journey from England to Florida to meet his birth family for the first time, and following the inspiring work of the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team with a 35mm camera.

Specialising in sensitive access, I have been trusted to support, interview, manage the welfare of, and tell the stories of those who have witnessed conflict, overcome anxiety, survived human trafficking, and come up against barriers when searching for answers about their identity or lost loved ones. This has armed me with the ability to speak with contributors about their feelings and most distressing experiences while assessing their suitability for TV and meeting editorial needs. I have worked closely with highly sensitive organisations, such as the Ministry of Defence, and have prepared case notes containing confidential information for intermediaries and social workers.

I excel at the challenge of casting and am proficient at finding compelling contributors who have interesting stories that not only resonate with viewers but offer engaging and fresh storylines for returning series. Having cast flagship shows and pilots, I am confident at locating contributors via several methods, including running proactive campaigns. I've demonstrated my ability to bring much-loved Talent, such as Claudia Winkleman, to projects and utilise my extensive knowledge of archives, social media sites and public records to track down significant contributors, recruit experts and strengthen stories. While working on ITV’s ‘Born Without Trace’ I located the woman whose doorstep our contributor had been left on back in 1960 which resulted in a meeting that the press named one of the most affecting and emotional scenes in the series’ 5-year history.

I gain great satisfaction from organising the logistics of a production and thrive in a fast-paced environment confidently problem-solving and adapting to changes at short notice. My initial credits in production, which involved organising shoots across the United States and Europe, plus countries such as Kenya, New Zealand and Canada, provided me with a solid foundation that has strengthened my approach to editorial, bridging the gap between the two disciplines. I pride myself on my interpersonal skills and have been commended on numerous occasions for my organisation.

I have multiple credits on archive-led programmes, including as an edit producer for Channel 4 and Sky Arts, for which I have sourced and cleared a range of material including video footage, newspaper articles and personal photos from contributors. I’ve taken on the responsibility of clearing music for a six-part Sky Arts series and worked on ten feature-length pioneering Exhibition on Screen documentaries that required gaining permission from private art lenders and renowned art galleries across the world to film prestigious paintings.

Passionate about creative storytelling, I've independently produced several short documentaries for which I secured finance from industry-recognised funders such as Arts Council England and Creative England. Achievements include screening one as part of the official selection of Sheffield Doc/Fest, being awarded the IMDB New Filmmaker Award for another, and having films acquired by Channel 4 and Curzon Home Cinema for online distribution. Becky was a stellar producer on Born Without Trace. She’s full of warmth & empathy so excels at looking after vulnerable contributors. She also directed second units for reunions, solo directed a back story & edit produced a story. All of the end results were well covered & sensitively made. I would work with Becky again in a heartbeat!
