I am a PSC Sound Recordist with bases in London and South Wales. I have been freelance since January 2022, having previously trained and worked at Audio Dept as hire manager and sound recordist for Richard Meredith. I have been in the industry since 2015 working primarily in factual entertainment and documentaries both as an individual recordist and within a sound department.

My work has given me the opportunity to meet and adapt to contributors with a variety of personalities, backgrounds and abilities, and I believe that my relationship with people is as important as my technical knowledge. The nature of my work is intimate and particularly intrusive to personal space when having to mic people up. Part of my routine is to talk through the process as I am doing so and this greatly puts people at ease and allows them to feel comfortable in my presence. I am always friendly, polite and appropriate, fully understanding the personal boundaries of my role.

As most people in the tv industry, I am able to work well within a new team and I treat everyone with professionalism and compassion. We are there to achieve the same goal after all!

I am an experienced user and owner of Zaxcom products, something increasingly being requested by productions for its reliability and flexible workflow. I have extensive experience in adapting and spec’ing a system to suit the need of a production - implementing individual transmitter ISO recordings, an integrated and roaming timecode network and a fluid IEM solution.
