Read MoreI worked at ITV Leeds for 17 years , primarily an archive research consultant for ITN Source after initially starting out in the ITV Rights department.
I had a 2 month secondment to the Los Angeles ITN office and as a research consultant specialising (but not exclusively) in music related research I've been credited on numerous music documentaries including Julien Temple's "The Future Is Unwritten"(Joe Strummer) and George Hencken's "Soul Boys of the Western World"(Spandau Ballet).
I also helped contribute to a regular series of articles on archive music tv appearances for "Record Collector '' magazine for several years.
I have thorough detailed knowledge of the ITV archives and it's constituent regional components- LWT/Central/Tyne Tees/Granada/ITC etc. and I've been instrumental in cataloguing and uncovering many previously unknown or forgotten appearances in programmes that were languishing on a shelf without corresponding details synopsis details or credits. After leaving ITN Source to seek a new challenge I was employed by Sky Vision as an Archive Producer, based in Chorleywood working on a six part series, 'Inventions That Rocked The World".
I subsequently undertook a career break this year in order to go travelling to Australia and New Zealand .
Since returning I have worked for Made In Manchester radio productions as a researcher on Radio 4 and World Service programmes, and as archive researcher/producer for True North ("Smashing Hits:80's Pop Map of Britain"), Daisybeck Studios "Made In Britain") and Wise Owl Films "David Jason's Great British Inventions").
