With 25 years’ experience in television production, I’ve successfully navigated genres such as Current Affairs, Factual Entertainment, Light Entertainment and Children’s programmes. I began my work experience in the Entertainment Department at Granada Television on studio based talent shows where I progressed through the editorial ranks to directing contributor VTs. Self-shooting became my focus and has been central to many of my roles since. With a journalistic background my expertise lies in uncovering compelling stories and contributors, sourcing and securing access to unique filming locations, forward planning, directing and self-shooting. As a seasoned camera operator, I bring confidence and proficiency to various aspects of content creation, whether filming sequences, crafting engaging VTs, master interviews with contributors of a sensitive nature, directing reporters/talent or conducting seamless observational documentary filming.
