In 2016 I graduated with a first-class degree, in Media and Communications from Glasgow Caledonian University. I began working freelance in the TV industry in 2017 and became an Producer/ Director in 2024.
I have an extensive knowledge of online trends and digital content creation. I’m happy to discuss any opportunities but have a particular interest in Fact-Ent, Science and Entertainment Genres. I am willing to travel world wide for the right opportunity.
Able to Cast, Fact-check, Manage UGC, Negotiate access and find Experts, script and edit. I’m keen to pursue DV Director Roles, PD Roles, and Self-Shooting Roles.
I have a broad range of experience across a variety of genres and this has given me a various range of skills that I can bring to each team I join. I have proven my ability to turn around work quickly, meet deadlines, and speak to experts in a variety of fields and disciplines.
A natural problem-solver with a ‘can-do’ attitude, I enjoy bringing my unique perspective to any production team and pride myself on my ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of any subject – this is proven as I tackle high volume and fast turnaround shows.
I’m a versatile member of every team as I’m very comfortable in front of the camera, providing VO (having done so for various online projects and Food Unwrapped) and as a confident Self-Shooter, I’m always keen to pick up a camera.

Whilst not in work I keep active with running, figure skating and going to the gym. In addition, I have created a fundraising group named Team Symington Events. Team Symington's main goal is to raise awareness and funds for The Beatson Cancer Charity and The Ayrshire Hospice in memory of my Dad, Ian Symington. We will be raising funds by holding events and by taking part in organised sponsored events. So far we have raised over £3500.
