I worked with Adam Boyle for six seasons of some of the toughest action and adventure filming we've ever accomplished. At first, as a cameraman, he excelled at framing great shots no matter what the conditions. And these were tough trips, be it sweltering up the tip of Cape York, hammering the 4000km across the top of Australia to some of the most remote places on earth in the Kimberleys or dodging cold puddles and quick sand in the wilds of Tasmania. The crew had to be fit to cope. Mud, dust, rain and gale force winds - if we were there, we shot it.
On 'tour' we worked 24/7 for days on end, sleeping in swags once the footage was downloaded and sharing the workload to get the team through. Adam was always a willing worker on camera but as producer he led from the front - mounting Go Pros, being the first to learn the art of drone camera work, shopping for supplies, planning routes, helping out with the dishes, coming up with some creative brilliance or getting a fire lit in the rain.
It's under these tough travel conditions that you really get to know your team. I rate Adam Boyle one of the best balanced, most patient and yet creative humans I've ever travelled with in my twenty year career in outback journalism/presenting. And as producer he'd find a way of constantly bringing in shows within budget without sacrificing the quality of our product.
Like any Aussie I love serving it up to our Pommy cousins. I used to joke with Adam that there were two types of Poms, those who spent their lives on the couch watching the telly, and those who'd jump out of a trench wearing a bright red jacket and face down a thousand Zulu warriors. Adam Boyle is the latter. He's one of the toughest men in our industry, yet can match that with creative brilliance. I wish he'd come back to Australia. This is a guy who doesn't know how to disappoint - employ him quick, before someone else gets the advantage.

Adam is one of the most organised, driven, skilled and creatively able Producer/Directors I’ve worked with. He has a rare talent of not just being a Jack-of-all-trades, but a master as well. I’m looking forward to collaborating with Adam on many more projects in the future.

In the 6 years Adam and I spent traveling and filming together throughout some of the harshest and most remote locations in Australia, I knew I could rely on both his leadership and production savvy to both bring the crew and the story home safe. His ability to perform under extreme pressure and still have an unwavering attention to detail and the highest work ethic mean I would have zero hesitation in working alongside Adam at any time in the future.
I have worked with Adam as a fellow Editor and as my producer. He has creative flare and a very good communicator which makes him unique to work with. He's dedicated , professional and gives 100% to his job.
